Since the Constitution is outdated, let’s abandon it and let Skynet rule America!

Donna Summer died today, aged 63, of Lung Cancer. The Queen of Disco, Diva of the Seventies….all we really are is dust in the wind…..(photo credit: Us Magazine).

So you are probably asking yourself, “What is Duncan doing now? He writes about Ron Paul, he writes about Jesus, he writes about the Joker…..has he finally lost it? Now he writes about disco!?”

While I do love the night life, and I long to boogy (on the disco….oh heck, who am I kidding…..I have no clue what the lyrics are), I’m trying to make a couple of quick points before I get all serious on my overly patient readers.

Only two things are guaranteed….death and taxes….and Obama delivers both….(Picture credit Patsdailyrant.blogspot.com)

Point number one was eloquently portrayed by Mel Gibson‘s Braveheart.

The Princess is begging Longshanks for mercy for William Wallace. But even in his death, the hard-hearted king will not relent. And she whispers, so sadly, so softly….”Death comes to us all.”

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not wanting to make this a tacky piece criticizing Donna Summer when the poor lady has just died. All I’m trying to say is….you can have all the wealth, power, and fame you want. You’re still going to die.

Which is why you have to make every day count. You never know which one will be your last. Another great line from Braveheart: “Every man dies, not every man truly lives.”

Braveheart

My second point is a little more touchy. Again I don’t mean to be critical of Donna Summers! She’s meeting her Maker, now, and if any criticism needs to be done, then He is sufficient to do it. But disco was one of the shining elements of the 70’s “Me generation.” And that generation is already beginning to grow old and die. I wonder how many folks from that time are regretting some of the choices they made. I wonder how many of them, on their death beds, or in the here-after, realize, too late, that it really isn’t just about “me…..”

Life really doesn’t mean one thin dime if its only lived for oneself.

Braveheart-Who Wants to Live Forever

I’m about 405 words in, now, and I guess I’d better get to my point (or, at least, vaguely justify my grandiose title). So, as I have done in the past, I will try to shed some light on our modern-day with the wisdom of The Federalist Papers.

The Conclusion which I am warrented in drawing from the observations is that a mere demarcation on parchment of the constitutional limits of the several departments is not a sufficient guard against those encroachments which lead to a tyrannical concentration of all the powers of government in the same hands.-Federalist 48. Madison.

You see, even the Founding Father’s knew that, without a freedom loving populace, without a moral people, without an informed voting citizenry, the Constitution would be nothing but an empty piece of paper. And that is why the movement of Ron Paul “crazies,” while they are right to want a return to the Constitution, can only succeed if that Constitution becomes (like God speaks of His own Laws) written in the very hearts of the people.

Cincinattus was the Washington of Rome. He was offered the throne of Rome, and turned it down, believing that the people should be free…..

So where does that leave us….with crooked politicians that believe that you have to “Go along to get along?”

Santorum on Supporting No Child Left Behind: “Sometimes you take one for the team”

And that is how politics has been for at least the last seventy years. You have to compromise your principles. You have to sell your soul. If you want reelected, you have to betray….

Slaves are made in such ways

Braveheart-betrayal

Yes, I know. Many of you big government types, many of you corporate CEOs…you are saying, with Robert the Bruce‘s father….”All men betray….all men lose heart.”

And I say, with that bold king whose blood runs in the veins of my best of friends….”I don’t want to lose heart!

For only if I don’t lose heart, only then can I finally go Home. And only then can I finally be free….

America do not forget to give all the glory to God

I know that we quoted this scripture before but I will use it again:  2 Chronicles 7:14 says:  “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

America is in trouble and till we take a stand and turn toward God we will not get of this.

Our Founding Fathers prayed,  followed and read the bible.  They always put God first.

So often people forget to be thankful there is always someone hurting more than you.

Whenever I was a baby I was sick with bronchitis and low iron my dad did everything that he could to try to get me better but failed.  My dad was very smart man He got his PhD in math and was a math professor; he studied every religion out there even Eastern mysticism. One day an Evangelist came to our door to pray for me.  My parents could not get me to eat for couple of days.  He prayed and he said “She’s healed.  God spoke to that Evangelist to come by and pray.  The next day I did eat.  You see there was one thing that my dad could not do that was to heal me only God did that and I give God all the glory.  My dad fell on his knees to God.  I saw my parents go without just to help people with food, deliverance, and problems.   I know each day in my dad’s class he would start off with prayer and bible verse he would give the glory to God everyday in his class.  So often I see people put things, like jobs, cars, houses, boats etc. before God.

I have learned to give God all the glory for things that God has given us.  Because God is the only one that gives us the power to be wealthy without regrets.

Deuteronomy 8:18 says:  “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.”

My parents did get their pastor’s  license and helped many people.  My mom still preaches on occasion and will do it for nothing just to help the people get saved.  My dad has since passed away but he did get many people saved and his reward up in heaven.

I guess what I am trying to say that people give the glory to God in all that they do or have he will heal America.  It will not be Obama or Romney, but God get your eyes off men and turn to God.  I like Ron Paul and I know that God is using him, but he is not God either.

Like the Imperials song: Oh Buddha

I will continue to Praise the LordRuss Taff Praise the Lord:

Jesus never fails written by Gary Driskell.  The words in this song is powerful , I feel his presence everyday stronger than I never had.  My mom hurt your toe and my son laid his hands on her and prayed how many 8-year-old will that.  This Christmas we took him to Santa and he did not ask for toys he wanted to if Santa was saved, if he knew Jesus.  Jesus never fails!

Remember to never give up on God!

David Barton the historian that stands up

This book is not to be confused with the sit-com, The Jeffersons….

David Barton says that “secular is religion free, but Thomas Jefferson was not anitreligious.”

Thomas Jeffferson, David Barton, and Ron Paul: all three have stood for liberty and Christian values. David Barton wrote The Jefferson Lies.

For these great men of God I have one scripture:  Matthew 5:11-13  ” Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.  Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heave, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

We continue to praise the Lord like the story Jehoshaphat best told this song of Don Francisco.

Remember that the bible says that the battle is the Lord and the Lord will fight for you!!  Praise the Lord forever more!

David Barton is WallBuilders  which is pro-family organization America’s forgotten history and heroes.  Great man of God to listen to and learn about history.  Here is link:

Ron Paul supporters are praying and it is paying off.   Here is the story.

http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/alaska-gops-new-chair-god-prevailed-victory-ron-paul-supporters

If you hadn’t guessed….the wifer wants you all to know about David Barton. He is one of our personal heroes, because he digs into history, and tries to demonstrate the Christian foundation of our nation. He’s the first person that ever inspired the wifer with any love of history (rather as Ron Paul was the first person to inspire her with an interest in things political).

He’s recently become famous outside of the evangelical circles, because he appeared on  The Daily Show, with Jon Stewart. And, of coarse, a lot of people really feel that Jon Stewart got the best of David Barton. Blogger after blogger is making fun of Barton, and calling him out as a liar, and praising Jon Stewart for revealing what a wacko Barton is. Silly Christians….believing in God is so bourgeois! Only the illiterate still believe in God.

Don’t get me wrong. I actually like Jon Stewart. I’ve posted some of his stuff on this blog. And I don’t want to get hyper-critical of him when, to be honest, I’ve only had time to watch a few random bits and pieces from the interview. It would be unfair to say that “Jon Stewart is a bad person,” when most of my information is coming second hand.

What I don’t like, is the general attitude that some folks have that, if someone makes fun of something, that something is discredited. We make fun of David Barton because he has some beliefs that don’t match ours, and that proves that he’s wrong. Ron Paul is just a Texas hick that keeps babbling about liberty…..and that proves he’s wrong. The Jews were silly money grubbing people with funny accents….so its all right to take all their money, move them into death camps, and incinerate them. God has a lot of imperfect folks that tell me I shouldn’t have sex with the salacious prostitute…..some of them even think I should only sleep with my wife……being funny makes us wrong.

God is not mocked.

We can laugh all we want, but there are things that are, actually, inherently, if not obviously, true. You don’t want to agree with me that there is a God. That is fine. But surely you agree that slavery is evil. That war, even when it is necessary, is a horrible blight. And that all sane people everywhere will always prefer liberty to tyranny, if they are simply informed how to get it, and have the character to stand and fight for it.

And surely, we all agree (great God in Heaven, I pray we all agree) that a historical truth is a historical truth. Maybe Barton doesn’t have all of his facts right. Or maybe he misinterprets some things. But I think it ironic that some of the people accusing him of fabricating history will vote for history fabricators themselves.

Obama lies about Auschwitz-Not a ‘gaffe,’ just an outright ‘lie’

Tyranny: who cares if I’m loved or feared….as long as I’m obeyed…..

Just how long can we endure…..?

Ding dong bin Laden‘s dead. Now Scarecrow will get a brain, the Tin Man will get a heart, the Cowardly Lion will get some courage, and we can all click our ruby slippers together and go back home to Kansas. Truly we live in euphoric times. “Over the Rainbow” is where we live.

So why do I feel like I’m being crushed under the heals of petty, thoughtless fools who barely care whether I live or die?

C. S. Lewis wrote, in That Hideous Strength, about a collegiate/government/corporate organization called the National Institute for Coordinated Experiments (NICE). This lovely organization was hell-bent on running everything, and everyone’s life. People would no longer need to do their own thinking….the Head (the demonic CEO of NICE) would do all the thinking for us. In the novel, angelic forces rain down wrath on NICE, and save our world from the despotism of petty tyranny.

In real life….I sometimes wonder if the angels haven’t turned their backs on us.

Tyranny has been talked about for the last three or four millenia. I’ve been reading, in my very fleeting moments of spare time, The Federalist Papers. I’m going to try to relate how this

Our Founding Father‘s envisioned a world where Liberty was victorious over Tyranny. Modern politicians would love to see them switch places…

book is relevant in the twenty-first century. I’ll begin by telling how it does NOT apply to our times.

1. Liberty can only be held by an industrious, vigilant people who are willing to fight to preserve it. Slavish people can never be free.

But ambitious encroachments of the federal government on the authority of the State governments would not excite the opposition of a single State, or of a few States only. They would be signals of general alarm. Every [State] government would espouse the common cause. A correspondence would be opened. Plans of resistance would be concerted. One spirit would animate and conduct the whole. The same combinations, in short, would result from an apprehension of the federal, as was produced by the dread of a foreign, yoke; and unless the projected innovations should be voluntarily renounced, the same appeal to a trial of force would be made in the one case as was made in the other. But what degree of madness could ever drive the federal government to such an extremity?- Federalist 46, Madison.

Governments Should be Afraid of Their People

I sometimes fear that maybe, the politicians are, in a morbid sense, right. Perhaps the Constitution is no longer relevant. Because the Founding Father’s meant the document to be a guiding light for a free and independent people. A people determined to acquire the blessings of liberty. The Constitution can have no meaning for someone who is willing to barter away their liberties for bread and circuses. We are descended from patriots and pioneers who lived by the creed: “Give me liberty, or give me death!” Now we live by the creed of “Give me my beer, and give me football! And while you’re at it, give me a free cell phone and free health care!” The people of today would never have rebelled against the British. But then, the people of today would never have left Britain in the first place.

2. The Founding Father’s established the Constitution believing that people were, in the main, rational. They had no precepts laid down to protect it from a populous debased by over consumption of television and methamphetamines. The Constitution is meant to govern a sane people.

That the people and the States should, for a sufficient period of time, elect an uninterrupted succession of men ready to betray both; that the traitors should, throughout this period, uniformly and systematically pursue some fixed plan for the extension of the military establishment; that the governments and the people of the States should silently and patiently behold the gathering storm and continue to supply the materials until it should be prepared to burst on their own heads must appear to everyone more like the incoherent dreams of a delirious jealousy, or the misjudged exaggerations of a counterfeit zeal, then like the sober apprehensions of genuine patriotism.-Federalist 46. Madison.

Too bad…..what Madison describes as the “incoherent dreams of a delirious jealousy,” we get to call, “reality.”

Isn’t that NICE?

Ron Paul is not finished yet

I would like to honor Ron Paul today.  He is the only one that inspired me to study more about the Constitution and the our Founding Fathers.   Here is short video about Ron Paul talking Constitution.

Ron Paul not valley of dry bones

Nothing is impossible for GodRon Paul has just as much a chance as for President as Romney.

Ezekiel 37:1-14

The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit…and set me in the middle of valley, it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

I said, “O Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!…I will make breathe enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me, “Prophecy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet-a vast army.

Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back….Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.”

Ron Paul will not bow to the media

Daniel 3:16-18 says:  Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before in this matter.  If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king.  But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Ron Paul is very humble man of God.

Here a story of Veggie Tales

Ron Paul stands up for what he believes in

The media is like bunny in this song

Here is Gaither song

For far too long, America has been bowing before the idol of Molech. The god of gold. The god of money. Easy, false profits. Corporate America has combined with Washington D. C. Together, they have erected their monuments to their false gods, and those false gods have seemed to reward them with quick riches, immense power, and everything that goes with that.

Its time that we remembered what is important. God. Jesus Christ. Family. Liberty. Our Constitution. Fulfilling our promises. Serving each other, instead of only serving ourselves. Lets do the right thing, this time around. Instead of mindlessly voting for the lesser of two evils, as we have done for the last 24 years, lets vote for someone who stands for the same things we do. Who believes the same things we do. And who votes for the things they believe. This time around, let’s vote for Ron Paul.

Fighting the Federal Leviathan

Ted Nugent is in the news. I guess he made some comments that are getting the Secret Service motivated to investigate him. He said at an NRA meeting that he would probably be “dead or in jail by this time next year” if Obama is reelected. Personally, I take back all the negative things I’ve said about the Secret Service….if they still have the energy to investigate this guy after all their sex-romps in Latin America, then they are truly dedicated! But then….for all we know, their investigation may simply be a million dollar grant to spend three weeks in the bunny ranch while they watch Ted Nugent videos….

Sometimes I’m afraid that I’ve been teleported to Bizzaro World. Superman is robbing banks while Lex Luthor is trying to protect the innocent. This whole world seems backward. Ron Paul supports the Constitution and Christian values, so we vote for the people who are destroying our Constitution and trying to undermine Christianity: but I won’t name any names here….I’m kind of getting tired of fighting the good fight.

Ron Paul’s money bomb didn’t make the money he said he needed. I don’t know what that means, because the media is so eager to be rid of him. Anything he does is a sign that he’s about to bow out. I wonder if the Sanhedrin had the same attitude about Christ. “He raised Lazarus from the dead…..that means that His power must be weakening…if He were all that powerful, He’d have healed Lazarus before he even died!” Bizzaro World

has been around for a long, long time…..

My good friend Jeff sent a comment on how he has been feeling about things. It’s where I’ve stolen the title to this post (see….I’m already adapting to the Bizarro lifestyle….)

First off, he talks about the song, Uprising, by Muse. I personally know nothing about the group or the song, but I’m listening to it now, and the words are frighteningly similar to what is going on in my head as I type.

The imagery from the video reminds me of the dystopic moods of these last days. I love the Beltane in it, the purification through fire of all the degradation of the past. And the Vampire-teddy bears that rise up from the ground. The child-like qualities inside of us rising up to fight the Screwtape inspired nothingness that pretends to be “adult.”

Hopefully this won’t upset the wifer.

Good Patrick Henry

“Here’s to you Mr. Jefferson” Awesome! by Mike Church

When I was still young and idealistic, I used to put together mixed tapes. They weren’t usually tapes of romantic songs (though there were a few of them mixed in here and there). I didn’t date until I was 25 (no mystery to anyone that follows this blog….maybe if I’d been a Secret Service Agent). The more….interesting of these tapes I called schizophrenic tapes. The beginning of one of these had a scream edited in, followed immediately by Genesis’ Land of Confusion. I thought about putting that song in, but I think I’ll post this version instead. First of all, this one doesn’t dishonor Reagan. And second of all…I think all the Japanimation in this video really hits home (I’m going to watch it again as I post, to make sure there’s nothing too inappropriate in it….)

Disturbed-Land of Confusion

Often over the last forty years, I’ve felt as though I was living in the Last Days…if not of the world, at least of our freedoms. And sometimes I had apocolyptic visions like those in the above video. And sometimes, in my minds eye I’d just see Jesus….monumental, huge…like the statue over Rio….only with grief in His wonderful face. Grief for all the horrible things we’ve done. Grief for betraying Him. For taking a beautiful world He meant us to enjoy, and turning it into a cesspool instead. It totally blows my mind that He would die for people like us. I guarantee, if I were Jesus, you wouldn’t see me on the Cross…..

Gaither Vocal Band-When I cry

Christianity is the cornerstone of our republic

The Emancipation Proclamation will turn 150 this year. Today is not the anniversary…..but Washington D. C. is celebrating Emancipation Day. Because, 150 years ago today, Lincoln freed all of the slaves in the District of Columbia. This was seen by many as the beginning of the end of slavery.

Abraham Lincoln has always been one of my heroes. There are many reasons why, but the top of the list is the freeing of the slaves. I’ve always had this place in my heart for freedom fighters, and lovers of liberty. Leonidas, Spartacus, Moses, Jesus, the Founding Fathers, William Wallace….their names and their stories bring a chill to my spine, a tear to my eye, and fill my tired old heart with some dim vestige of hope.

Ron Paul Kenobi....your my only hope....

I don’t think I’m the only one with this dream in his heart. Lets face it….one of the reasons Star Wars became so famous was because it was a group of heroic freedom fighters trying to rebel against an oppressive evil Empire. Sure we all loved the lasers and fight scenes and space chase scenes. I was a kid then….all the cool aliens were spiffy keen. But the movie still resonates with me. I can identify with Luke’s longing to get away from the petty hum drum of every day life and make an impact on the world around him. It makes sense that you’d rather be dead than a slave. And then there are the themes of family, forgiveness, and redemption.

Most of us have forgotten where a lot of those themes came from. Star Wars is awesome, and I love how it is

Sometimes I am frightened, but I'm willing to learn the power of myth....

so strongly influenced by Joseph Campbell’s wonderful book, The Power of Myth. I’ve read the book, but I don’t own it. Because I think that sometimes, we forget that not all things are merely metaphors. Don’t get me wrong…I love symbolism. Its one of the reasons why I am attracted by conspiracy theories (and that temptation gets stronger as I see the rotten things the media has done to Ron Paul). But I know that not all things are merely metaphors. And that metaphors are not as powerful as the real things themselves.

Every nation on earth has a myth of the Man-God who lives, dies, and is born again…and in so doing, saves humanity and All Good Things. A lot of people use that as evidence that there is no God. There can’t be…all turns out to be is our own Freudian wishful thinking. We want an all-powerful, all loving Father (or Mother), and so, we imagine He exists.

Its even in Star Wars, a little. Ben Kenobi lives, dies, and lives again as the ghost like guide of Luke. Han Solo lives, “dies” when he’s frozen in carbonite, and lives again as a better man (he even gets his eyes opened from his previous blindness). And of course, Vader himself. He lived as Anakin, died to become Vader, and was reborn as Luke’s father at the very end, when he chooses the love of his son over the dark Power granted him by the Dark Side.

This bothered me a lot as a freshman in college. Were all the things I believed about God merely

And God help us if we don't learn from experience....."Duncan Mcshame" 1971-????

day dreams and wish fulfillment? Had the difficult life that I had led caused me simply to take the false opiate of religion? Was the despair of this life so unbearable, that I had to invent fairy tales of a better world, in order to have enough false hope to bear this one? I brooded long over these dismal thoughts, and went to and fro in my Bible, like a devil wandering the world alone.

One of the papers I wrote for my honors English course was on C. S. Lewis’ The Abolition of Man. I’d already read The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Screwtape Letters. These were good, but they were fiction. As much as I might long to go to Narnia, as a grown man, I had to admit that there was no Narnia.

But Lewis showed that it was very highly possible that some of the higher things I believed might not be all shadows and chicanery, after all. I will try to write more about this later, as I’ve written enough, now. For now….happy Emancipation Day!
