Find happiness when you seek the Lord

People seek happiness in other people, jobs, money, the government and other worldly things.  The only true happiness is in Jesus.  We have to choose to be happy everyday.  Psalm 37:4 (NIV) says “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”  There is song called “Happiness is the Lord” and real joy is only found in Jesus.

There is another song  about choosing to be happy.  Are we going to be happy today?  I know I will and choose to praise Jesus.

Happy Father’s Day to those in heaven

My dad died at young age, he was only 59.  Pastor Billy Joe Daugherty passed away at 57.  One of my co workers husband passed away last Friday at 55.  I do not know why these happen to fathers at such a young age, but God knows why.  1 John 3:20 (NIV) says: For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.  I just hope that I can make my Heavenly Father as proud as I made my earthly Father.  I would like to honor my dad and Jesus by song Amy Grant written “My Father’s Eyes“.

If you do not have a dad, honor Jesus your Heavenly Father today.

Psalm 27: 10 (NIV) Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.

Prolong your life with God’s word in your heart

You  have to have discipline in your  life.  When  kids we got discipline from our parents and now as adults we get discipline from the Lord.

Do not forget to read and study the Bible everyday and keep the words in your heart.  The Bible and walking with God will prolong your life.  Walk in love and be faithful everyday.  Do not forget to honor God with the your wealth.  God is one that gives you power to get wealth.

Proverbs 3:1-35 (NIV) is passage about further benefits of wisdom

1 May son do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, 2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring prosperity.  3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.  4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.  5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.  7 Do not be wise in your eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.  8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.  9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;  10  then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.  11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke, 12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.  13 Blessed is man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding,  14 for she is profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.  15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.  16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.  17 Her ways are pleasant ways, and all paths are peace.  18 She is tree life to those who embrace her;  those who lay hold of her will be blessed.  19 By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; 20 by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and clouds let drop the dew.  21 My son preserve sound judgement and discernment, do not let them out of your sight, 22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.  23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble;  24 when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.  25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, 26 for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.  27  Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power  to act.  28 Do not say to your neighbor, ” Come back later, I’ll give it tomorrow”-when you now have it with you.  29 Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you.  30 Do not accuse a man for no reason – when he has done you no harm.  31 Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways, 32 for the Lord detests  a perverse man but takes the upright into his confidence.  33 The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.  34 He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.  35 The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.

Through it all I have learned to Trust in Jesus and I take him at his word.  Andrae Crouch sings Through it all  video.

Choose the Fear of Lord and Hate all Evil

The fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom.  Proverbs 1:20 – 33 (NIV) is a warning against rejecting wisdom.

The passage says:

20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in public squares;  21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech.  22 How long will you simple one love simple ways?  How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?  23  If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.  24 But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,  25 since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, 26  I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you- 27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.  28 Then they will call me but I will not answer, they will look for me but will not find me.  29  Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord,  30 since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, 31 they will eat the fruit of their schemes.  32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; 33 but who ever listen to me live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.

To fear the Lord means to have deep respect for the Lord.  You should always put the Lord first in your life.  I do not understand God‘s ways all the time, but I choose to trust Jesus with my life.  God’s way is the only way to go!

Here is video of Marantha singers: We Choose the Fear of the Lord:

Do what is right unto the Lord

Often people will do what they want to do instead what is right and fair.  We have to remember to do what the Lord tells us  to do, instead of what our flesh tells us to do.  Proverbs 1:1-7 says (NIV Version):

The proverbs of Solomon son of David. king of Israel: for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just, and fair, for giving prudence to simple, knowledge and discretion to the young  let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance  for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.  The fear of Lord is beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

This verse says to fear the Lord, but not to be afraid of the Lord.  We must understand and know the Bible.  Sometimes being Christian is hard but with discipline in your life and standing up for Jesus, we will persuasive.   Today listen and obey God’s word.

I love the song “Are You Living In Old Man’s Rubble”, and some of the words are:  Are you living in old man’s rubble, are you listening to the Fathers of lies? What the song is saying is are you going to listen to the devil or Jesus the one you gave you life?  Here is video by Amy Grant.

America do not forget to give all the glory to God

I know that we quoted this scripture before but I will use it again:  2 Chronicles 7:14 says:  “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

America is in trouble and till we take a stand and turn toward God we will not get of this.

Our Founding Fathers prayed,  followed and read the bible.  They always put God first.

So often people forget to be thankful there is always someone hurting more than you.

Whenever I was a baby I was sick with bronchitis and low iron my dad did everything that he could to try to get me better but failed.  My dad was very smart man He got his PhD in math and was a math professor; he studied every religion out there even Eastern mysticism. One day an Evangelist came to our door to pray for me.  My parents could not get me to eat for couple of days.  He prayed and he said “She’s healed.  God spoke to that Evangelist to come by and pray.  The next day I did eat.  You see there was one thing that my dad could not do that was to heal me only God did that and I give God all the glory.  My dad fell on his knees to God.  I saw my parents go without just to help people with food, deliverance, and problems.   I know each day in my dad’s class he would start off with prayer and bible verse he would give the glory to God everyday in his class.  So often I see people put things, like jobs, cars, houses, boats etc. before God.

I have learned to give God all the glory for things that God has given us.  Because God is the only one that gives us the power to be wealthy without regrets.

Deuteronomy 8:18 says:  “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.”

My parents did get their pastor’s  license and helped many people.  My mom still preaches on occasion and will do it for nothing just to help the people get saved.  My dad has since passed away but he did get many people saved and his reward up in heaven.

I guess what I am trying to say that people give the glory to God in all that they do or have he will heal America.  It will not be Obama or Romney, but God get your eyes off men and turn to God.  I like Ron Paul and I know that God is using him, but he is not God either.

Like the Imperials song: Oh Buddha

I will continue to Praise the LordRuss Taff Praise the Lord:

Jesus never fails written by Gary Driskell.  The words in this song is powerful , I feel his presence everyday stronger than I never had.  My mom hurt your toe and my son laid his hands on her and prayed how many 8-year-old will that.  This Christmas we took him to Santa and he did not ask for toys he wanted to if Santa was saved, if he knew Jesus.  Jesus never fails!

Remember to never give up on God!

Jesus died for our sins…Now He lives

Us: Easter is a day to celebrate Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day. Sometimes it is very hard to celebrate things. We can be grappling with despair or depression, and thinking that God has abandoned us. Jesus was wholly God, and wholly Man. He felt the same temptations to despair that we feel. But He did not succumb to them….even on the Cross. While on the Cross, Jesus seemed to give voice to His grief.

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?- which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Matthew 27: 46.

He’s alive

Are you willing to give your heart to Jesus since he gave his life for you?

He bowed His head and died

We are glad that we gave our lives to the Lord.

Isaiah 45:22-25 says: “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will bot be revoked.  Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.  They will say of me, In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.  All who have raged against him and be put to shame.  But in the Lord all the descendants of Israel will be found righteous and will exult.”

Oh what a Savior!

My wife is more simple and direct than I am. In many ways, that is a good thing. One of my great faults is that it sometimes takes me a hundred words to say what could so easily be stated in a sentence or two. It makes people mistake that I am the smarter one. The truth is, I’m just the more verbal one.

My atheist friends listen to me talk, and are often confused about why I am a Christian. It’s very difficult for me to explain. My path to Christ is similar to that of C. S. Lewis. Very convoluted, very confusing are the paths I’ve trodden on my way. That used to make me doubt the validity of my experience. I could never shake my memories of The Pilgrim’s Progress. The way should be straight. If your taking by ways and meandering ways….your not on the right path.

And so, in order to have faith in Christ, I’ve had to shake a lot of self-doubt. That’s always been a very difficult thing for me to do.

You see, my father was an alcoholic. A really bad one. My teen-age memories consist of him messing himself (yeah….your imagination can go a little wild with this….it won’t be far shy of the truth….), of his threatening me, of him mumbling incoherent things in front of a girl I liked in the bar that he had hauled me into. And my mother beat the unholy crud out of me. Like Forest Gump, “That’s all I’ve got to say about that.”

I’m not admitting those things to dump the blame on them. I’ve largely forgiven them since those days. Both of my parents have come to Christ, and those things are very much in the past. I tell you these things in order to put “the stuff” in context.

When I was a teenager, I had massive problems with insomnia. I would lay awake, long into the bitter dark hours of a cold winter’s night, or even longer into the sweltering heat of  a sultry summer’s evening. And I would wonder if God even existed or not. And if He did, did He care? How could He allow all of these things that were happening to me?

My sister tried to be a comfort to me. Among other things, she would give me tapes of Christian contemporary music, and hope that it would help me on the thorny road I trod. Several songs stuck with me. The most profound, to me, was We Are the Reason, by David Meece. The best videos on YouTube seem to be remakes by Avalon, but I’ll give you one by David Meece himself. Maybe you’ll get how it could impact a despairing teenager, and maybe you won’t. All I can tell you, is that I probably would not be here, or would be far less pleasant, if it weren’t for this song.

We are the reason-David Meece

Power in blood of Jesus

There are so many destructive things going on in world today and many people do not know how to pray.  We pray the blood of Jesus everyday around are house and are family.  There is power in the blood of Jesus name.  My mom was in mall parking lot about to get in the car and there was 2 big men that tried to take her purse, she yelled out Jesus when she did she felt angels around her.  Those guys did not get her purse they ran off, we continue to pray for their souls.

Exodus 12:13 says:  “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you.  No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”

So many times I have heard of people saying that command the storm to turn and it did and their house was not destoryed.

Luke 8:24-25 says:  “The disciples went and woke him saying Master, Master, were going to drown!  He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was clam.  Where is your faith?  he asked his disciples.  In fear and amazement they asked one another, Who is this?  He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

We have the Power in the name of Jesus to do that today.

We have angels watching over us.  Luke 4:10-11 says:  “For it is written:  He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will life you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

So remember to pray everyday for blood Jesus and he will protect you from every destruction.
