Find happiness when you seek the Lord

People seek happiness in other people, jobs, money, the government and other worldly things.  The only true happiness is in Jesus.  We have to choose to be happy everyday.  Psalm 37:4 (NIV) says “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”  There is song called “Happiness is the Lord” and real joy is only found in Jesus.

There is another song  about choosing to be happy.  Are we going to be happy today?  I know I will and choose to praise Jesus.

Seek Jesus First

The more I pray the more God is showing me that there are going to be more supernatural  events that you cannot explain.   The other day the leg on the couch broke off.  I took the leg to hardware store I asked for man and asked him what I should do.  He said just minute he went to his manager and asked if he could go to my house to fix.  This does not happen everyday, he fixed and told be Happy Mother’s Day.  This was supernatural miracle that I cannot explain.  They do not come to people’s house’s everyday.

I have praying for husband, a supernatural miracle for better job.  I do not know how this will happen, but I know God has something in store that shock him and he will be amazed.

I know big factor of getting these supernatural miracles is walking in Love.  Sometimes we make mistakes and say things that we should not say or act in a way that we should not.  We are humans we are not God.  When you do you say that your sorry and continue to walk in love.  1 Corinthians 13:4 -8 says: “Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self – seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. Here is The Love of God by Gaither’s :

We have to put God first.  Matthew 6:33 says:  “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”   I heard Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God by Maranatha singers it touched me as child, still does.  Have very blessed day!

Join God’s Army

Today, May 19, 2012, is Armed Forces Day;  a day that honors the military forces.  We would like to say thank you for all the men and women who died and gave their time for our country.  We are praying for you and your families.   Thank for making our Nation free.

Here is Gaither song Let Freedom Ring:

We would also like to say thank you Jesus for giving his life.  If you are not in God‘s army we would like to personally invite in his army.  Ephesians 6:10-18 says to put on full armor of God:  Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power.  Put on full armor of God so that you can stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with you feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, he be alert and always keep praying for all the saints.

We are God’s Army; Are you?

Tyranny: who cares if I’m loved or feared….as long as I’m obeyed…..

Just how long can we endure…..?

Ding dong bin Laden‘s dead. Now Scarecrow will get a brain, the Tin Man will get a heart, the Cowardly Lion will get some courage, and we can all click our ruby slippers together and go back home to Kansas. Truly we live in euphoric times. “Over the Rainbow” is where we live.

So why do I feel like I’m being crushed under the heals of petty, thoughtless fools who barely care whether I live or die?

C. S. Lewis wrote, in That Hideous Strength, about a collegiate/government/corporate organization called the National Institute for Coordinated Experiments (NICE). This lovely organization was hell-bent on running everything, and everyone’s life. People would no longer need to do their own thinking….the Head (the demonic CEO of NICE) would do all the thinking for us. In the novel, angelic forces rain down wrath on NICE, and save our world from the despotism of petty tyranny.

In real life….I sometimes wonder if the angels haven’t turned their backs on us.

Tyranny has been talked about for the last three or four millenia. I’ve been reading, in my very fleeting moments of spare time, The Federalist Papers. I’m going to try to relate how this

Our Founding Father‘s envisioned a world where Liberty was victorious over Tyranny. Modern politicians would love to see them switch places…

book is relevant in the twenty-first century. I’ll begin by telling how it does NOT apply to our times.

1. Liberty can only be held by an industrious, vigilant people who are willing to fight to preserve it. Slavish people can never be free.

But ambitious encroachments of the federal government on the authority of the State governments would not excite the opposition of a single State, or of a few States only. They would be signals of general alarm. Every [State] government would espouse the common cause. A correspondence would be opened. Plans of resistance would be concerted. One spirit would animate and conduct the whole. The same combinations, in short, would result from an apprehension of the federal, as was produced by the dread of a foreign, yoke; and unless the projected innovations should be voluntarily renounced, the same appeal to a trial of force would be made in the one case as was made in the other. But what degree of madness could ever drive the federal government to such an extremity?- Federalist 46, Madison.

Governments Should be Afraid of Their People

I sometimes fear that maybe, the politicians are, in a morbid sense, right. Perhaps the Constitution is no longer relevant. Because the Founding Father’s meant the document to be a guiding light for a free and independent people. A people determined to acquire the blessings of liberty. The Constitution can have no meaning for someone who is willing to barter away their liberties for bread and circuses. We are descended from patriots and pioneers who lived by the creed: “Give me liberty, or give me death!” Now we live by the creed of “Give me my beer, and give me football! And while you’re at it, give me a free cell phone and free health care!” The people of today would never have rebelled against the British. But then, the people of today would never have left Britain in the first place.

2. The Founding Father’s established the Constitution believing that people were, in the main, rational. They had no precepts laid down to protect it from a populous debased by over consumption of television and methamphetamines. The Constitution is meant to govern a sane people.

That the people and the States should, for a sufficient period of time, elect an uninterrupted succession of men ready to betray both; that the traitors should, throughout this period, uniformly and systematically pursue some fixed plan for the extension of the military establishment; that the governments and the people of the States should silently and patiently behold the gathering storm and continue to supply the materials until it should be prepared to burst on their own heads must appear to everyone more like the incoherent dreams of a delirious jealousy, or the misjudged exaggerations of a counterfeit zeal, then like the sober apprehensions of genuine patriotism.-Federalist 46. Madison.

Too bad…..what Madison describes as the “incoherent dreams of a delirious jealousy,” we get to call, “reality.”

Isn’t that NICE?

White House Correspondents Dinner…..Democracy tastes like chicken

Put on your suit. Get your hair and nails done. We’re going to go put on a show. We’ll dazzle the world with all our razmataz. Hollywood will be there. Anybody who is anybody will be there. Kim Kardashian (I still think the name should be given to a species of monster in Star Wars) will be there. Maybe she can teach me to get rich by marrying and divorcing the right people. Spielberg and Clooney will be there. And Lindsey Lohan. All the greatest political minds….the best journalists in the land.

But then, as I learned on the cartoon series, Daria, why study a subject, when you can spend your time more productively by networking.

And Washington/Hollywood did network this weekend. This coterie of self-congratulation spent its time cracking jokes, but some of us aren’t fooled. We can see a committee of mutual admiration for what it is.

Rick Santorum was there. That doesn’t surprise me. Ron Paul wasn’t there. That doesn’t surprise me. According to Fox News (don’t ask me….they came up

The White House Correspondents Association was formed in 1914 as a protest to the rumor that Congress was going to limit the reporters that had access to the President. Presidents since Wilson have turned this to their advantage.

first on the Google search)  every President since Coolidge has attended these functions. That fails to surprise me, as well. The White House Correspondents Association was originally set up as a kind of union of reporters who were concerned that the government was getting too over-reaching in the way they were regulating press access to the President. But, like I learned from listening to Longshanks on Braveheart, “You must find the good in everything…when you are king.”

So the two industries, Press and Government, realized in the twenties that if they worked together, they could gain great wealth and great power. And, since the Government perforce enjoys its monopoly without opposition, and the Press was technically scattered across thousands of newspaper companies (the radio and movies were very new mediums, and TV was still twenty years away), it probably didn’t seem so dangerous to the people of the time.

But times are radically different, now.

When I was in American Government 101, the text-book listed the media as a fourth branch of government. And the bureaucracy as a fifth. Now, I don’t want to get into a debate about the accuracy of this….but if accredited textbooks are realizing this possibility, we should, as “informed” voters, be willing to discuss the implications of the government-media complex.

I don’t agree with everything that is said by right-wing radio pundits, but I think that one of the most brilliant speeches ever was Michael Savages speech from about 15 or so year ago about the subject.

Government Media Complex

Joseph Conrad wrote about it in The Heart of Darkness. In our times, it became the movie Apocalypse Now. We pretend to be so civilized, but if you look in our eyes, there is hate, fear, pain....and also hope.

Does anyone else remember the Vietnam War? I’ll grant you, I was very young at the time. But I was a very strange kid. I started watching and listening to the news when I was about three years old. I still very dimly remember seeing images from the last years of that war. I was too young to understand, but now, years later, I can see that war (which, I’ll grant, would have been extremely controversial even if the whole debate had been on the up-and-up) was largely lost because the media shaped the public will to oppose it. That demonstrates its power.

My argument is not whether the media was evil because of its stance on that war. Assuming that great power….a power that proved greater than the three branches of government……how much greater would it be in the hands of one of the branches of government.

“Is it true that force and right are necessarily on the same side in republican governments? May not the minor party possess such a superiority of pecuniary resources…or of secret succors from foreign powers, as will render it superior also in an appeal to the sword?…Nothing can be more chimerical than to imagine that in a trial of actual force victory may be calculated by the rules which prevail in a census of the inhabitants, or which determine the even of an election!”-Federalist 43. Madison.

Ron Paul will not bow to the media

Daniel 3:16-18 says:  Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before in this matter.  If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king.  But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Ron Paul is very humble man of God.

Here a story of Veggie Tales

Ron Paul stands up for what he believes in

The media is like bunny in this song

Here is Gaither song

For far too long, America has been bowing before the idol of Molech. The god of gold. The god of money. Easy, false profits. Corporate America has combined with Washington D. C. Together, they have erected their monuments to their false gods, and those false gods have seemed to reward them with quick riches, immense power, and everything that goes with that.

Its time that we remembered what is important. God. Jesus Christ. Family. Liberty. Our Constitution. Fulfilling our promises. Serving each other, instead of only serving ourselves. Lets do the right thing, this time around. Instead of mindlessly voting for the lesser of two evils, as we have done for the last 24 years, lets vote for someone who stands for the same things we do. Who believes the same things we do. And who votes for the things they believe. This time around, let’s vote for Ron Paul.

Fighting the Federal Leviathan

Ted Nugent is in the news. I guess he made some comments that are getting the Secret Service motivated to investigate him. He said at an NRA meeting that he would probably be “dead or in jail by this time next year” if Obama is reelected. Personally, I take back all the negative things I’ve said about the Secret Service….if they still have the energy to investigate this guy after all their sex-romps in Latin America, then they are truly dedicated! But then….for all we know, their investigation may simply be a million dollar grant to spend three weeks in the bunny ranch while they watch Ted Nugent videos….

Sometimes I’m afraid that I’ve been teleported to Bizzaro World. Superman is robbing banks while Lex Luthor is trying to protect the innocent. This whole world seems backward. Ron Paul supports the Constitution and Christian values, so we vote for the people who are destroying our Constitution and trying to undermine Christianity: but I won’t name any names here….I’m kind of getting tired of fighting the good fight.

Ron Paul’s money bomb didn’t make the money he said he needed. I don’t know what that means, because the media is so eager to be rid of him. Anything he does is a sign that he’s about to bow out. I wonder if the Sanhedrin had the same attitude about Christ. “He raised Lazarus from the dead…..that means that His power must be weakening…if He were all that powerful, He’d have healed Lazarus before he even died!” Bizzaro World

has been around for a long, long time…..

My good friend Jeff sent a comment on how he has been feeling about things. It’s where I’ve stolen the title to this post (see….I’m already adapting to the Bizarro lifestyle….)

First off, he talks about the song, Uprising, by Muse. I personally know nothing about the group or the song, but I’m listening to it now, and the words are frighteningly similar to what is going on in my head as I type.

The imagery from the video reminds me of the dystopic moods of these last days. I love the Beltane in it, the purification through fire of all the degradation of the past. And the Vampire-teddy bears that rise up from the ground. The child-like qualities inside of us rising up to fight the Screwtape inspired nothingness that pretends to be “adult.”

Hopefully this won’t upset the wifer.

Super Ron Paul video game

Good Patrick Henry

“Here’s to you Mr. Jefferson” Awesome! by Mike Church

When I was still young and idealistic, I used to put together mixed tapes. They weren’t usually tapes of romantic songs (though there were a few of them mixed in here and there). I didn’t date until I was 25 (no mystery to anyone that follows this blog….maybe if I’d been a Secret Service Agent). The more….interesting of these tapes I called schizophrenic tapes. The beginning of one of these had a scream edited in, followed immediately by Genesis’ Land of Confusion. I thought about putting that song in, but I think I’ll post this version instead. First of all, this one doesn’t dishonor Reagan. And second of all…I think all the Japanimation in this video really hits home (I’m going to watch it again as I post, to make sure there’s nothing too inappropriate in it….)

Disturbed-Land of Confusion

Often over the last forty years, I’ve felt as though I was living in the Last Days…if not of the world, at least of our freedoms. And sometimes I had apocolyptic visions like those in the above video. And sometimes, in my minds eye I’d just see Jesus….monumental, huge…like the statue over Rio….only with grief in His wonderful face. Grief for all the horrible things we’ve done. Grief for betraying Him. For taking a beautiful world He meant us to enjoy, and turning it into a cesspool instead. It totally blows my mind that He would die for people like us. I guarantee, if I were Jesus, you wouldn’t see me on the Cross…..

Gaither Vocal Band-When I cry

The term is over, the holidays have begun…with apologies to C. S. Lewis

Oklahoma news has been more and more global, these days. Two random shooters (I notice they don’t dignify them with the name of snipers…)  recently shot five and killed three within just a few miles of my territory. The two shooters live in one of the towns that I cover for my company.

Then, yesterday, as I was fighting to stay conscious after a difficult twelve-hour day (closer to fourteen if you want to include the commute) the wife and I ironically put in the movie Twister in order to begin the festivities of the vacation I’ll take this week.

In the mean while, real tornadoes punished our state. I read that at least five people died yesterday from these storms.

Jessie Jackson is in our state, trying to do some racial healing. The effort is needed, and badly. I just wonder if he is the man to get the job done. I’ve always had very mixed emotions about him. I love, honor, and respect Dr. Martin Luther King. I just wonder about some of the people who have tried to take up his mantle.

All this stuff (and probably some other things of which I am unaware…remember the 12+ hour days….) has brought news agencies around the world to our humble state. Even Al Jazeera was out here. And, for the sake of our state’s image, I know that many folks are distinctly thankful that they didn’t interview yours truly….

I’m not making any big news, currently, but, as I’ve mentioned, I’m on vacation now. And, for me, that is big news. For one thing, I’m hoping that I can do at least a little work on this blog thing that I play with.

And I hear a rumor about my candidate, Ron Paul. The rumor is that if he can’t get enough money in today’s money bomb, he may drop out of the race. I confirmed the money bomb going on today (and made a very minor donation myself), but I can’t confirm the dropping out part.

For that matter, maybe it doesn’t matter. Christianity went on after the death of the Apostles. America outlived her Founding Father‘s. The Civil Liberties movement went on after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

If Dr. Ron Paul does drop out, I guess (I hope) that the Liberty movement will go on.

Ron Paul is “In it to win it”

I don’t feel that I can criticize the man if he does drop out. At least he has put up a fight. That is more than I have done. When last I looked, he had 750,000 dollars. But I hear he needs about two million. I guess we’ll see. Maybe my wife is right. Maybe this is one of those times when we’ll need a miracle from God.

The media ignores Ron Paul even though he draws the biggest crowds.

I haven’t yet come to understand this phenomenon. Ron Paul draws bigger crowds than anyone….yet he doesn’t win elections. I guess it could be that these people are all motivated enough to hear him speak, but not motivated enough to vote for him….

None of these people voted....

These people don't look enthusiastic....

No.....this crowd didn't vote, nor this one.....

All these people....yeah....they voted for Romney.....

Ok….so I’m not the best with the captions and the pictures. But I hope you get the point (mainly because I’m afraid that if I crop and paste any more pictures from other bloggers sites, they’ll get mad and sue me….) . This old fogey draws crowds like a rock star…yet nobody is voting for him? I find the whole thing extremely, profoundly, difficult to believe. I know that both political parties are extremely honest. They’d never try to steal votes or elections. The media would never lie to us.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Thank you, Big Brother, for increasing boot production by 10%. I love Big Brother.

There should be no “x” in Christmas. And there should be no delegates for Ron Paul.

I introduced this blog to a friend of mine at work, yesterday. I hope that he doesn’t think I’ve lost my sanity. But then, in the Empire of Lies, maybe my sanity isn’t the issue. Maybe the world has gone mad.

And yeah…this crowd was confused….they thought it was a Justin Timberlake Concert….or the line to get into Hunger Games.

Jesus died for our sins…Now He lives

Us: Easter is a day to celebrate Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day. Sometimes it is very hard to celebrate things. We can be grappling with despair or depression, and thinking that God has abandoned us. Jesus was wholly God, and wholly Man. He felt the same temptations to despair that we feel. But He did not succumb to them….even on the Cross. While on the Cross, Jesus seemed to give voice to His grief.

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?- which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Matthew 27: 46.

He’s alive

Are you willing to give your heart to Jesus since he gave his life for you?

He bowed His head and died

We are glad that we gave our lives to the Lord.

Isaiah 45:22-25 says: “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will bot be revoked.  Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.  They will say of me, In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.  All who have raged against him and be put to shame.  But in the Lord all the descendants of Israel will be found righteous and will exult.”

Oh what a Savior!

My wife is more simple and direct than I am. In many ways, that is a good thing. One of my great faults is that it sometimes takes me a hundred words to say what could so easily be stated in a sentence or two. It makes people mistake that I am the smarter one. The truth is, I’m just the more verbal one.

My atheist friends listen to me talk, and are often confused about why I am a Christian. It’s very difficult for me to explain. My path to Christ is similar to that of C. S. Lewis. Very convoluted, very confusing are the paths I’ve trodden on my way. That used to make me doubt the validity of my experience. I could never shake my memories of The Pilgrim’s Progress. The way should be straight. If your taking by ways and meandering ways….your not on the right path.

And so, in order to have faith in Christ, I’ve had to shake a lot of self-doubt. That’s always been a very difficult thing for me to do.

You see, my father was an alcoholic. A really bad one. My teen-age memories consist of him messing himself (yeah….your imagination can go a little wild with this….it won’t be far shy of the truth….), of his threatening me, of him mumbling incoherent things in front of a girl I liked in the bar that he had hauled me into. And my mother beat the unholy crud out of me. Like Forest Gump, “That’s all I’ve got to say about that.”

I’m not admitting those things to dump the blame on them. I’ve largely forgiven them since those days. Both of my parents have come to Christ, and those things are very much in the past. I tell you these things in order to put “the stuff” in context.

When I was a teenager, I had massive problems with insomnia. I would lay awake, long into the bitter dark hours of a cold winter’s night, or even longer into the sweltering heat of  a sultry summer’s evening. And I would wonder if God even existed or not. And if He did, did He care? How could He allow all of these things that were happening to me?

My sister tried to be a comfort to me. Among other things, she would give me tapes of Christian contemporary music, and hope that it would help me on the thorny road I trod. Several songs stuck with me. The most profound, to me, was We Are the Reason, by David Meece. The best videos on YouTube seem to be remakes by Avalon, but I’ll give you one by David Meece himself. Maybe you’ll get how it could impact a despairing teenager, and maybe you won’t. All I can tell you, is that I probably would not be here, or would be far less pleasant, if it weren’t for this song.

We are the reason-David Meece

Power in blood of Jesus

There are so many destructive things going on in world today and many people do not know how to pray.  We pray the blood of Jesus everyday around are house and are family.  There is power in the blood of Jesus name.  My mom was in mall parking lot about to get in the car and there was 2 big men that tried to take her purse, she yelled out Jesus when she did she felt angels around her.  Those guys did not get her purse they ran off, we continue to pray for their souls.

Exodus 12:13 says:  “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you.  No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”

So many times I have heard of people saying that command the storm to turn and it did and their house was not destoryed.

Luke 8:24-25 says:  “The disciples went and woke him saying Master, Master, were going to drown!  He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was clam.  Where is your faith?  he asked his disciples.  In fear and amazement they asked one another, Who is this?  He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

We have the Power in the name of Jesus to do that today.

We have angels watching over us.  Luke 4:10-11 says:  “For it is written:  He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will life you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

So remember to pray everyday for blood Jesus and he will protect you from every destruction.
