Tyranny: the best Mother’s Day gift idea!

Looking for a fabulous Mother’s Day gift idea, and can’t afford $100million+ for major works of art….or hundreds of billions for government projects? We understand your pain! Try tyranny! She’ll be so proud of her children….

The Scream,” by Edvard Munch, sold for $120 million some days ago. I’m a little bit of an art lover, but I always loved this one. It pretty much shows how I feel every morning right before I go to work….and through the 10-15 hour day as I continue to work….

I’ve begun to believe that our days as a Republic are either very severely numbered, or that the day has already come and gone. I believe that we have been some form of bureaucratic tyranny since around 1989 or so.

I’m still reading The Federalist Papers. In one of my resent posts, I basically established that the current social-political-economic debacle would have stumped our Founding Father‘s. Not because they weren’t intelligent enough to understand what’s going on. Not because the subject matter would be too complex for them.

They would be at a loss to understand how the independent, freedom loving people of their day could become so degraded as to wallow in the muck of modernity.

The Constitution has, in fact, ceased to be relevant. But only because it was written for a freedom loving people….not slavish naves begging for more.

Since Reagan, we keep praying for better nominee’s. Either God isn’t answering, or He has a strange sense of humor!

So I’ll make a couple of points, and see where that goes.

1. In the fallen world in which we live, a freedom loving people is an armed people.

Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which [standing armies] are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.-Federalist 46. Madison

Better writers than I have written about this ad noseum, so I’ll try not to belabor the issue. But the long and the short of it is…..if a King wanted to secure his authority, he made sure that peasants did not have armor, swords, spears, anything to hurt people with.

We’ve established that the purpose of power is power. And the way you demonstrate power over someone is by making them suffer. And you can’t make someone suffer if he is the one holding the gun to your head. Yes, you may trade bullets. But then the suffering is relatively equal. And that is not what a bully wants. He wants you to suffer, while he enjoys his petty, insipid pleasure. But the only way a bully can stay a bully is to be the only kid on the block with a base ball bat.

‘Nuff said!

2. Once you disarm the public, the next move  is the incremental accrual of power.

The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.-Federalist 47. Madison.

So, by Madison’s own definition, our current system of government can be proven a tyranny if we can establish that the accumulation of all the powers has been usurped by any one branch of government or group of people, even if that group of people has been elected by popular vote!

Our task then, if we are fair minded folk, is to establish if any one branch of government or group of people has usurped the powers of all three branches of government.

3.The Executive Branch now performs many of the functions of the Legislature.

Presidents since Reagan have appointed numerous czars, and ruled by executive order. And now, Congress is letting him get by with it. In both parties. I wonder why….

Happy Mother’s Day, ya’ll. Hope you enjoy the tyranny!

great video on uk gun control. I heard today that a state passed a 72 hour waiting period on abortions of course the progressives called it an insult on womens rights. Thats funny to me when they are for it when someone buys a gun. If u buy a gun u could kill someone but when u have an abortion u are killing someone.

Yeah….isn’t it interesting that you must have a waiting period just in case you want to kill someone, but they have no problem with instant gratification when it comes to definitely killing someone….

Well Mr.McShame, living next door you know my stance on the second amendment and have seen some of the proof thereof.

Unfortunately the lame stream media is doing a passable job marginalizing gun owners. The Zimmerman case is a perfect example. No proof necessary, no trial either just hand out his home address and let the NBPP take care of it.

The accrual of power is a foregone conclusion. We’ve both been around long enough to see (and lament) the gradual degradation of our libertys. I weep for the next generation who won’t know the freedoms we enjoy now.

Since the Greek doesnt translate well Molon Labe

Yeah…..I for one absolutely appreciate your second amendment stance. I wish the wifer and I agreed on this issue, but what marriage is without some compromise. When the revolution comes, I know that you will be better off than I am…..
